Why this ring
Large form-fit, slip-free and gentle — no grub screws against the barrel or mount.
Clean mesh with the focus motor (0.8 MOD) — no slipping on fast pulls.
Temperature-stable & UV-resistant — reproducible clamping force and long life.
Just enter ID and width — every geometry adapts. Made to fit, not a database lottery.
Design philosophy
I tried different focus rings for years — and they all had catches. So I developed a ring that eliminates these problems.
Material & origin
Made from ASA by Extrudr, sourced in Austria (Vorarlberg). ASA is dimensionally stable, UV-resistant and ideal for precise, long-lasting focus gears.
Outdoor-ready
clean tooth flanks
short supply chains
Mount in 60 seconds
Set the lens focus to infinity before you start.
Slide the ring loosely over the lens' focus ribbing.
Seat it evenly and tighten the screws with the included hex key evenly — not too tight.
Engage the motor, check backlash, turn — done.
Note: don't over-tighten — the clamp is designed to hold with moderate torque.
Packaging & sustainability
Envelope and padding are made from recycled cardboard, with no extra plastic. Short distances from Vienna into the EU.
CO₂
We offset the filament and shipping footprint at double the value.
FAQ
No. The clamp grips over a large form-fit area — there are no grub screws pressing directly onto the lens. So it leaves no marks, not even on delicate vintage lenses.
