Measure

A tape around the focus ring or calipers across it. Diameter or circumference both work.

02

Generate

The ring is built for your numbers: module 0.8 teeth, sizes engraved inside. An STL in seconds.

03

Print

Print it flat on your own printer: PLA or PETG for a slip-on ring, stiff ASA with 6–7 walls for a clamp ring.

Printed by Focus Rings

Rather have it ready to mount?

We also make the parts ourselves: printed in high-quality, weather-resistant ASA, and clamp rings come assembled with their hardware. The print service is paused right now. If enough people ask, we open batch orders with delivery within the EU.

  • ASA weather-resistant material
  • Assembled clamp rings with M4 hardware
  • EU batch orders when demand is there

About & FAQ

Before your first print

Good to know

All questions
What do I get?

A free focus ring is a single STL. Paid ring files add your saved dimensions, print notes and, for clamp rings, a hardware list and assembly notes. You print the part yourself.

Which printer and material?

Any FDM printer that holds its dimensions, with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layers. Slip-on rings and lens caps: PLA or PETG. Clamp rings: ASA with 6–7 walls, because it is much stiffer than PETG and keeps the clamps tight (PLA also works). Print a test ring first: material and calibration change the fit.

Can you print it for me?

Yes. We print the parts ourselves in weather-resistant ASA and assemble clamp rings with their hardware. The print service is paused right now; send a request and we open batch orders within the EU once enough people are interested.

Is there a price for several lenses?

Yes. Every further clamp or hard-stop ring in the same order costs at least 30% less (lens set price). Keep the same outside diameter on all of them and your focus motor stays in place when you swap lenses. Share your lens measurements at checkout and save €2 once per order.

Will it work with my focus motor?

Rings use standard module 0.8 teeth. For hard stops you choose your motor or enter its tooth count, and the stops are recalculated. Check fit and movement on your rig before a job.
